After her back operation at the end of February, the Queen of Denmark Margrethe II resumed her official activities on Sunday, with a public appearance on the occasion of her 83rd birthday.
Accompanied by the royal family, the Queen waved to the crowd from the balcony of her Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen. "Long life to Denmark", launched the sovereign to the large crowd gathered in front of the palace.
According to Danish media, it was the first time the royal family has appeared publicly in full since the Queen stripped the princely titles of the four children of Prince Joachim, her youngest son.
