Davante Adams' arrival to Las Vegas gives Raiders offense a new star and gives opponents a new focus point.
Adams' attention should open up opportunities for the other players of the offense. Tight end Darren Waller, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, and Raiders quarterback Derek Carr are both often mentioned in this group.
Josh Jacobs, running back, didn't get his option for 2023 season taken up by the team. He may not be in the team's long-term plans but Carr believes he can contribute to short-term success.
Carr stated on NFL Network that Josh is someone he's very excited about. "He works hard to be the best he can, because he knows that with all his weapons, maybe he will have a lot more games where teams just won't say, 'Well Josh, you beat us. '"
If this is how it turns out, and Jacobs can make teams pay more for focusing on other players, then his contract situation should be happy in Vegas or elsewhere early next year.
