According to data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the average price of French road diesel rose by more than 2 euros last week despite a rebate of 18 cents at the pump. These figures were published Monday, June 13.

According to Friday's figures, it reached an average of 2.0694 euros per Liter last week. This is a more than 10 cent increase compared to the previous week.

Diesel had already crossed this symbolic threshold in March and at the end, before falling again. Diesel's average price at the beginning June was 1.9615 euros. It had been rising for about two weeks.

The gasoline price, which was at a record 2.1012 euros per gallon on average between May 30 and June 3, but is now stable at 2.0960 euros, remains stable. Already, the SP98 has exceeded 2 euros per month. It was 2.1989 euros in France last week.

This rise comes amid rising energy prices, war in Ukraine, supply problems, and runaway inflation as the European Union prepares for a halt to oil purchases and Russian diesel.
