Dortmund: women harassed and helpers threatened with knives

A 27-year-old is said to have molested three young women at Dortmund Central Station and threatened helpers who had rushed to them with a pocket knife. The 16, 19 and 20-year-old women turned to federal police officers in the subway area on Saturday evening and reported that they had been touched and stroked on the upper arm by a stranger. Two men, who, according to the statement, rushed to help, are said to have threatened the stranger with a red pocket knife, the federal police said.

According to the statement, the women showed the federal police officers the man who was now on the station forecourt. The 27-year-old was then checked, the officers secured a red pocket knife and a small amount of marijuana. Because the man had no identification papers with him, he was asked to go to the federal police station. On the other hand, the 27-year-old, who was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, defended himself vigorously and insulted the officers.

At the station, the man reportedly urinated "in the detention area." A preliminary investigation was initiated against him for resisting law enforcement officials, violating the Narcotics Act and for insult and bodily harm.
