Drome-Ardeche: A summer of gastronomy Romans' gourmet glasses

We think first of pogne and ravioli when we talk about Romans. To these two iconic gourmet specialties, Jacquemart must also include the Romans.

Although the recipe is simple, sometimes the most basic things are the best. Roger Guilleminot created this pastry from shortcrust pastry, jam and icing sugar. Jean-Marie Chovet was my friend, and I wasn't the only one. These glasses were inspired by the Milanese pastry, which was imported from the Piedmontese lumberjacks. It takes many years to descend from the mountain ..."

It is a beautiful story. The story is beautiful. At first, the two friends only had two pastry chefs. They brought their families along to help with the packaging on Saturdays. Although the commercialization process took a while, the men finally got started in 1998. The first major customer, Casino, helped the citizens of Rome to invest in their first factory. The company is growing. The company's turnover was 3 million in 1994. It had grown to 13 million by the time it was founded in 1994. Romans' glasses are now available on all supermarket shelves.

Samuel Levasseur, who now runs Douceurs de Jacquemart, has taken over the management of the company. Although the product range has expanded, the company maintains its high quality products and know-how. We use noble, local products like free-range eggs, strawberries grown in Drome, apricots grown in Provence... Our products are available in many countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Europe. Samuel Levasseur explains that we produce 2,500 tonnes per year.

There are good chances that you'll find Romans glasses at the pastry counter in Europe or anywhere else around the globe.
