The municipal social action centre (CCAS) Valence has activated its regular call machine since Tuesday, July 12. The automaton calls isolated seniors who call 04.75.79.21.50 to request support.
This device monitors vulnerable people, as in the event of no response, the CCAS teams call the person or his entourage to ensure that they are in good health.
Following the activation of the device, the Drome department was placed in heat wave orange surveillance on Tuesday due to high temperatures that are expected to continue until Sunday July 17. The City also asks Valentinois to keep watch over elderly or chronically ill people in their immediate entourage.
