According to the Ministry of the Interior, Eric Zemmour, an ex-journalist and founder of the far right party Reconquete!, was voted out of the first round of the legislative election. He had received 23.2% of the vote in the 4th Var constituency.
He is in the third place in this constituency, which is very marked to the right. However, he doesn't qualify for the second round of the election and will not be a deputy.
Sereine Mauborgne, outgoing LREM MP (28.5%), will be facing Philippe Lottiaux (24.7%) as in 2017. She won the election with 54.7% of votes five years ago.
