After suffering a circulatory collapse on stage, rock legend Carlos Santana has canceled six upcoming concerts on his tour. He does this to protect his health, the guitarist explains in a statement. However, the fans can look forward to the tour dates in August, they will remain with them.
Carlos Santana passed out during a performance on stage at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan. In a statement, which can be read in an Instagram post on the musician's official account, Santana's manager Michael Vrionis now explained that the guitarist has had to postpone six more shows on his tour "to protect his health".
"Doctors have advised Mr. Santana to rest to make a full recovery," the rep said, adding, "Carlos is doing well and is looking forward to getting back on stage soon. He just needs rest. " The concert in Noblesville last Friday evening was already affected. By July 16, shows were scheduled to take place in Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Rogers, Dallas and Woodlands.
The new dates will be announced later. The next scheduled gig is July 23rd in Paso Robles, California. The remaining tour dates in August are still confirmed.
The concert series "Miraculous Supernatural Tour" is intended to whet your appetite for his latest studio album "Blessings and Miracles", which was released last year. Santana will perform alongside legendary artists from the band Earth, Wind and Fire.
