The Álvarez family, founders of Eulen and Vega Sicilia, is in mourning. On March 23, Jesús David, eldest son of Don David Álvarez and the neutral brother in the war that the family has maintained for a decade, died. Jesús David maintained a relationship with all of his siblings, thus, he had a sincere affection for María José, the eldest of the three girls and always supported his father, to whom he remained loyal despite his siblings. María José and David Álvarez bought Jesús David's shareholding package in Eulen, which allowed them to group 60.56% of the shares and Jesús David to move away from family troubles.
Jesús David was married to María Becerril and they had two daughters, Carlota and María. All have kept a low profile throughout these years, and except for family photographs, no image of David Álvarez's firstborn has emerged.
The Álvarez family has published an obituary on ABC announcing his death, in which they return to family peace, since all the members appear united, at least on paper. Next Monday, April 17, the parish of Santa María de Caná, in the Madrid town of Pozuelo de Alarcón, will celebrate the funeral for his memory.
