Family in tow: Will Smith returns on the red carpet

Will Smith is currently in the process of salvaging what can be salvaged from his Hollywood career. After showing his insight several times regarding the Oscar slap, he is now returning to the red carpet. The 54-year-old is supported by his family.

Will Smith is back: After the Oscar slap for Chris Rock, the 54-year-old actor is now making a comeback. Smith made his first red carpet appearance in eight months at the premiere of his new film, Emancipation, in Los Angeles. He did not complete the radiant performance alone - his family was there: wife Jada Pinkett Smith and children Trey, Willow and Jaden.

Smith arrived in a burgundy three-piece suit, including a soft pink turtleneck shirt with a striking sparkly button. His wife wore a high-necked white dress with a long train that wrapped around her legs like a cloud. The kids looked stylish too, with Trey wearing a similar suit to his dad, Willow rhinestone hipsters and waistcoat and Jaden wearing a printed oversized suit with a matching long coat.

Striking: While the couple sometimes posed for the photographers as a couple, the two always had physical contact, and Smith kissed his wife several times on her shaved head.

Smith has been on a sort of "apology tour" for the past few weeks while also promoting his new film. Most recently, he explained on Trevor Noah's show that hurt people hurt other people and that he lost his mind when he stormed onto the stage to avenge his wife by violence for a comedian's joke.

The scandal at the Oscars 2022 had made waves. The actor was banned from the event for ten years for his slap in the face. Smith also recently expressed his concern about "Emancipation" in an interview with Fox 5 that viewers may avoid the film: "I completely understand if someone is not ready." He would "absolutely respect" that and could understand if the audience didn't want to see a film with him. But his concern is for the team. "The people on this team have done some of the best work of their entire careers and I really hope my actions don't put my team at a disadvantage."
