"Farmer is looking for a wife": frustration in paradise

Emely pours Tade pure wine. Loretta and Sascha capitulate before the final boss "Friendzone". And Michael and Jan Hendrik fall into the valley of tears. Shortly before the end of the farm week, events are escalating on some farms.

Actually, everything could be so beautiful. Framed in a panorama full of mountains, lush pastures and pink cotton clouds in the sky, the farmers and the candidates let their hearts speak. But where the great happiness of love is supposed to spread, sometimes feelings like fear, powerlessness and anxiety get in the way. At the Simmental breeder Michael, the situation is particularly chaotic shortly before the end of the farm week.

While court boy Jan Hendrik cries snot and water at the thought of all the possible future options, Michael feels more and more "overwhelmed" by the big picture: "I can't imagine a relationship with you at the moment," admits Michael. For Jan Hendrik, a world collapses at this moment, because the native South African really wants nothing more than a future together. "I would like to fight, but I can't stay here as your friend," Jan Hendrik sobbed.

The planned love adventure also takes an unexpected and ugly turn at sheep farmer Tade in beautiful North Friesland. After only a short time on the farm, lady-in-waiting Emely is sure "that something is missing". During a beach chair one-to-one conversation, the blonde visitor pours pure wine into her visibly shocked host. "Let's part on good terms," Emely suggests. Tade nods in disappointment. But the loyal dachshund look doesn't help. In the far north, the love journey is over before it really begins.

At the other end of Germany, lady-in-waiting Claudia is also struggling with feelings that she would be only too happy to shake off. The one who was supposed to help her tries hard. However, when trying to jump over his shadow, organic farmer Martin regularly reaches his limits. So the taciturn farmer first puts together a romantic house of cards in which he invites his lady-in-waiting to a leisurely chairlift trip followed by a snack after work is done, only to then destroy it again with stubborn silence and physical aloofness. "I miss this warm feeling," complains Claudia with a sad look.

Warm feelings are also scarce in deep Baden-Württemberg. Instead of finally getting closer between stallions ready to mate and terrifying "hell machines", Loretta and Sascha draw a surprising "friend zone" summary almost at the same time. What's suddenly going on in the courtyards? Does Cupid have bad breath?

Luckily there are still a few "format Gauls" who successfully counter the anti-happiness in love headwind with outstretched arms and a lot of euphoria and optimism in their hearts. This is how Shy-Guy Maik gets closer and closer to his gorgeous Cathrin. Farmer Theo has found love outside of the format statutes in the form of "neighbor" Andrea. And with cheese maker Arne and his Antje, the sun shines every day anyway.

Mountain cheese production, curds, pressing moment: Antje absorbs everything new like a sponge. Arne is more than enthusiastic about his lady-in-waiting, who not only has a nice smile, but is also great at painting. At the end of the Hofwocheglück, the model couple presents themselves in a wine frenzy, surrounded by a herd of curious cows. That's exactly what "Farmer Wants a Wife" is! With this in mind: Raise your cups! To the cheese and love!
