The bureau said flash flood is possible across those regions into the night hours, even prompting a Flash Flood Watch for Lee, Phillips, Desoto, Tunica, Tate, Coahoma, Quitman, Panola and Tallahatchie counties.

As you proceed farther south, you run in the Flood Warning that is busy for places around rivers and also a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Calhoun, Coahoma, Lafayette, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties till two p.m.

WREG's Wendy Nations stated the Mid-South could see anywhere from half an inch to 2 inches of rain. Still another inch is expected Wednesday with another line of storms.

Flooding has already been reported in Lafayette County from the Lafayette County Fire Department.

As always, should you happen across standing water, then do not push through it. Turn around, do not drown.
