Football / N3. FCBJ: A scorer to close the transfer window

Alexis Gonzalez, top scorer in National 3 in 2017 (16 goals), and 2018, was presented by FC Bourgoin-Jallieu this Friday. The 32-year-old striker is originally from Venissieux, and trained in Saint-Priest. He will join the sky and garnet club for next season.

He was a restless scorer and well-known for his aggressiveness, sense of positioning, timing of the head, and sense of timing. He had played for two seasons at Ain Sud where he scored five goals in the last exercise. Eric Guichard, the coach he was with when he first started at Saint-Priest, should be able to bring his six-season experience in N3.

Gonzalez stated, "To be honest, I was going to quit when Bourgoin picked me up." It was becoming difficult to balance work and football at my Chaponnay gym. Bourgoin is the only club that we can refuse at the moment. They are ambitious and have the resources to achieve their goals.

As a friend with several players at the club (Yanis Medei, Antony Sejallon and Sofiane Atik), Gonzalez shouldn't have any trouble blending in to the Berjallian collective once his physical issues have been resolved. Eric Guichard, his new coach, said that he should slowly integrate summer preparations, which are supposed to begin next Wednesday.

Jeremy Clement's successor at the FCBJ bench can count on 26 players this year, including the 12 elements recruited, and two goalkeepers. Guichard explains that the idea was to maintain the backbone, but to balance out the workforce a bit more than last season. We tried to double the number of positions.
