Didier Deschamps (coach of France's team) learned Tuesday about the death of his father. He joined his family "with consent of the president" of the French Football Federation. Noel Le Graet released a statement saying that "It's with great sadness that I learn of Didier’s disappearance this morning." Didier left to be with his family, and I am here to offer my support and friendship during this difficult time.
Guy Stephan, his deputy, was the one who led Tuesday's training of the France team. The team is currently preparing for the four League of Nations matches in July. Deschamps was born in the Basque Country and his family still resides there. Didier Deschamps' family is offered condolences by "Sud Ouest".
