Part of the population has been sorting and minimising waste through good practices. This can help to reduce waste by up to 60% and have an impact on the environment as well as the cost of the services that are provided by the communities of Queyras and Guillestrois.
These actions are not sufficient to deal with rising costs. The elected representatives from the community of municipalities unanimously voted to move to incentive pricing.
Practically, access to semi-buried containers of recyclable waste (those with gray colors) will soon be subject to the use of a badge.

This device will initially be installed at the collection points for L'Arche des Cimes as well as the town hall.
An agent from the community will visit the Ristoulins to explain the project and hand over the access card. This tour will take place on Tuesday, June 14. People who are absent or have not received their badge can visit the Abries-Ristolas town hall starting Wednesday, June 15, to get it.
The tariff that is applied to the residents will not be affected by this experimental phase. This phase is intended to provide lessons for correcting any errors that may be needed before generalizing the system and the effective implementation incentive pricing.
