"Half is done": Sara Nuru is pregnant

NDR presenter Bettina Tietjen announced a different kind of "breaking news" in her talk show with regard to guest Sara Nuru. The entrepreneur and winner of the 2009 edition of "Germany's next top model" is pregnant - and explains how she wupps everything in life.

Sara Nuru announced a happy personal message when she visited the “NDR Talk Show” – or rather had it announced. "You can hardly see it, but we can announce the breaking news in this show. Something is on the way," explained moderator Bettina Tietjen. "Halfway done," added Nuru, who fears a "bad omen" if she reveals the exact month of her pregnancy. However, she was in "joyful anticipation". Nuru is still known to many as "Germany's next top model" winner from 2009. She now appears primarily as an entrepreneur.

In 2016, Nuru founded the company "nuruCoffee" together with her sister, which supports Ethiopian women with microcredits by selling coffee. Her sister gave birth to her daughter five months ago and "we're now taking turns. When she comes back, I feel like I'm gone," said Nuru.

It is actually not easy to set up a company and to reconcile this with family planning. "We feel that now. But my sister has her baby in Calls with her now, it works. Millions of women have done it before me, so I will too." Both women also have "great partners" at home who support them.

Nonetheless, the foundation went through with one or the other stumbling block, as Nuru recently explained in another interview. "Many people know me through my participation in 'Germany's next top model' - which is not always an advantage," said Nuru. "Especially at the beginning I was underestimated and not taken seriously." In addition, the majority of start-ups are still founded by men. "Women simply have a harder time starting a business."
