Two complaints were filed against Andre Santini, the historic mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux in Hauts-de-Seine. They relate to "sexual assault" as well as "sexual and moral harassment", according to the Nanterre public prosecution's office. Le Monde reports that his former chief-of-staff and former bailiff have accused him of harassment, sexual assault and other crimes, with particular reference to 2021 and 2022.

Naturally, I deny that I have ever had the behavior described in the complaints.
"I have known Andre Santini seventeen years. We have never had any complaint against him on his behavior attributed to it," Me Marc Bellanger (the mayor's lawyer) told AFP. He did not know the details of the charges. I believe this is a retaliation campaign by these agents against the mayor, with which there is a dispute. They are unhappy with their administrative situation, and they have filed a complaint,"continued Marc Bellanger.
"I have never been accused of engaging in any of the behavior described in the complaints. "I have not been accused or charged of any such behavior in forty years of loyal and good service," André Santini replied to Le Monde.
According to the newspaper reports, the mayor dismissed the complainants in May for "breaking the bonds that trust are necessary for our collaboration".
