Headache and dizziness: ESC singer Malik Harris cancels the concert

On Saturday, Malik Harris suffered a heavy defeat at the Eurovision Song Contest. As so often in recent years, the German entry comes last in the competition. Now the stress is apparently also making itself felt physically in the singer.

Only on Saturday was the defeat at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), two days later the start of the Germany tour - now singer Malik Harris ("Rockstars") is sick in bed. "I'm so done," writes the 24-year-old in his story on Instagram. "I woke up with a crazy headache and dizziness, like my body was telling me I needed a break." In addition, the musician from the Upper Bavarian town of Landsberg am Lech posted a photo in which he buries himself in the duvet.

The singer therefore canceled his concert on Wednesday evening in Dresden after he had previously played in Hamburg and Berlin. "I'm so sorry. I hope you're not too disappointed," he wrote to his fans. But of course he will come back, "as soon as possible, I promise!" It was initially unclear when Harris would be fit again. The next performance in Cologne is already planned for Thursday, followed by Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Munich.

Harris competed for Germany at the ESC on Saturday with his song "Rockstars", but ended up in last place, like many of his German predecessors at the ESC.

The 24-year-old bears his bankruptcy at the competition in Italy with dignity. "I'm really, really happy that Ukraine won because that's what I wanted," he announced that evening in Turin, underpinning his words with a Ukraine flag that he had previously stuck to the back of his guitar had glued.
