Heat wave: Above all, heat directly endangers one living being: humans. How to protect yourself

March was the hottest in India since records began. April didn't look much better. Temperatures have been rising here for a few days now. You have been dealing with extreme environments for a long time. How dangerous is a heat wave like this? Outside temperatures of 40 degrees and more are far beyond what we were evolutionarily equipped to handle. For many people, this heat will be deadly.

Why are we so bad at handling heat? Because the body works in a very narrow range of temperatures. It only works well when its body temperature is in the range of about 36 to 37.5 degrees. If the temperature rises by just one or two degrees, this already means that its performance is impaired.
