Heidi's daughter is moving away: Leni Klum is fledged

Leni Klum has only been in public since her 16th birthday. Since then she has been booked a lot as a model. Now the 18-year-old dares to take the next big step out of the shadow of mother Heidi Klum - and moves to New York alone. But the focus should not be on modeling there.

Daughter Leni is Heidi Klum's pride. She has been in the public eye since her 16th birthday, regularly posts professional and private matters on her own Instagram account, walks the catwalks of well-known fashion designers and graces the covers of various fashion magazines. When it comes to success, she certainly emulates her mother.

However, Leni, who is now 18, has long since fledged and, in addition to her stressful job, she also graduated from high school in May. Now she is underlining her new independence with the next step: she is leaving her family in Los Angeles to move to New York.

However, in New York, the focus should not be on the model job, but on the university. Leni Klum wants to study interior design and art at the college there. New York City is also a good choice for modelling, after all, Leni's mother also started her career in the Big Apple.

Nevertheless: "Right now the university is at the top of her list, not modeling," says the "Germany's next top model" presenter in an interview with the US site "ET Online". "Leni is super excited to start this new chapter." Although she is sure that Leni will have a great time, "but my heart will be sad".

It remains to be seen what the move means for the relationship between Leni Klum and her boyfriend Aris Rachevsky, because the ice hockey player still lives in Los Angeles. The two, who have been a couple since 2019, will soon be separated by around 4000 kilometers and six hours of flight. But perhaps a move is not entirely out of the question for him either.
