Hesse: 13-year-old hit by car and seriously injured

Kassel (dpa/lhe) - A 13-year-old boy was hit by a car while crossing a street in Kassel and was seriously injured. According to witnesses, the child stepped onto the left lane on a two-lane road between stationary cars, the police said on Wednesday. He is said not to have paid attention to the traffic. A 33-year-old driver was no longer able to prevent the collision with the boy who suddenly stepped onto the road. The 13-year-old was taken to a clinic after the accident on Tuesday. There is no danger to life.
