Hesse: 18-year-old driver seriously injured in a collision with a truck

Homberg/Knüllwald (dpa/lhe) - An 18-year-old driver was seriously injured in a collision with a truck in Knüllwald (Schwalm-Eder district). The 18-year-old skidded in his car on Monday for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided with an oncoming truck, according to the police in Homberg. As a result of the collision, his car went off the road and landed in an adjacent field, throwing the 18-year-old out of the car. The seriously injured man was taken to a clinic in Kassel by rescue helicopter. The 40-year-old driver of the truck was also reportedly injured. An expert was commissioned to determine the cause of the accident.
