Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - According to the police, around 200 people took to the streets in Frankfurt on Saturday during the nationwide day of action of the peace movement. The rally in the city center was initially peaceful. "Everything is very manageable today," said a police spokesman.

The march from the Zeil shopping street to the Dreikönigskirche was under the motto "Billions for a social, just and ecological peace policy! Disarmament instead of rearmament". 200 people were registered for the demonstration. Similar rallies were planned in Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg, among others.
