Hesse: 22-year-old rescued from Main

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A 22-year-old was rescued by two passers-by from the Main near Frankfurt on Sunday night. The 22-year-old was obviously under the influence of drugs and fell into the river without outside influence, the police said. The two rescuers, aged 22 and 24, managed to pull the victim out of the water and bring him to land. The 24-year-old passer-by was unable to reach the shore on his own during the rescue operation at around 3.15 a.m. Police officers finally got him out of the water with a lifeline.
