Haunetal (dpa / lhe) - After the alleged killing of a 37-year-old woman in Haunetal in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, the arrested suspect was housed in a psychiatric clinic. According to the Fulda public prosecutor and the police, the 20-year-old is currently known to be the son of the woman's partner. He had already been arrested on Wednesday evening and was brought before a magistrate on Thursday afternoon. This issued a placement order. The man then went to the psychiatric hospital.
The exact circumstances and background of the alleged crime are not yet known and are the subject of investigations by the police and the public prosecutor. This ordered an autopsy, which is planned for this Friday (March 3rd).
A resident called the police to the home on Wednesday evening. The officers then found the heavily bleeding and lifeless woman. The suspect was arrested on the spot without resistance. At first it was said that the 20-year-old should have fatally injured the woman with a sharp-edged object – probably a knife.
