Herborn (dpa/lhe) - Almost 17 hours after the accident with an overturned dangerous goods transporter, Autobahn 45 near Herborn has been fully released again. As a police spokesman said early Wednesday morning, late Tuesday evening the lanes towards Dortmund and later also in the other direction were lifted.
The section between the junctions Herborn-Süd and Ehringshausen (Lahn-Dill-Kreis) had been completely closed since Tuesday morning because of an overturned truck. The truck overturned at a construction site and blocked both directions of travel. The 51-year-old driver from Cologne was slightly injured.
According to the police, the truck's diesel tank ruptured in the accident. About 100 liters of fuel ran into the sewage system, the lower water authority of the Lahn-Dill district was switched on.
