Hesse: After a collision between a tractor and a train: rail traffic is rolling again

Kirchhain (dpa/lhe) - After a driverless tractor collided with a freight train in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district, the route was partially reopened to rail traffic. The trains for local and long-distance passenger transport have been able to run largely according to the timetable on a track between Stadtallendorf and Kirchhain since the morning, the railway said on Friday. Freight traffic uses another route during the day. On Thursday evening, a tractor parked above the railway line rolled onto the tracks for reasons unknown. In the collision, the locomotive partially jumped off the tracks and parts of the overhead line tore off.
