Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - In view of the impending gas supply bottlenecks, Hesse's Energy Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) invited representatives of the municipalities and the economy to a crisis talks on Friday. According to the ministry, the central municipal associations, the state association of the energy industry and the largest gas-consuming companies in the state are expected to attend. The chambers are also invited to the digital exchange.

One of the topics is the state government's precautions in the event that the emergency level of the gas emergency plan is declared. "The Hessian economy could hit the emergency level very hard," the minister had warned. A close exchange with everyone who could be affected by a gas shortage is all the more important.
