Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - Since Tuesday, two 30 and 36-year-old men have been in front of the Frankfurt Regional Court because of large-scale drug trafficking with hashish and marijuana. According to the indictment, the older man bought the drugs and the younger man sold the drugs on the street and in his apartment in Gutleutviertel. The public prosecutor assumes at least 24 kilograms of marijuana, which was seized during a search of the apartment in November 2021 along with cash.
Local residents had informed the police about the drug deals on their doorstep. Undercover investigators then came across the two accused, of whom the 36-year-old was taken into custody. In court, he denied the allegations at the start of the process - but the co-defendant apartment owner charged him. He had been asked to work as a street vendor. Both defendants appear to have consumed large amounts of marijuana themselves. The criminal court has initially scheduled four further hearing dates until the end of October.
