Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The fire brigade rescued several residents from a smoke-filled building in Wiesbaden. Nobody was injured during the operation in the Biebrich district, according to the fire brigade.
Early on Friday morning, a fire with heavy smoke broke out in an apartment on the ground floor of the six-story house for reasons that have not yet been clarified. This made it difficult for the remaining residents of the house to escape from the smoke-filled building. Two of them were rescued from balconies using a turntable ladder and three other residents were led out of the building with the help of special escape hoods to protect against toxic smoke gases.
Except for the residents of the fire apartment, everyone else was able to return after the end of the fire brigade operation.
