Hesse: Around 68,300 tablets and notebooks for Hesse's teachers

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Around 68,300 rental computer devices have been procured for the Hessian teachers for their work in the school. The tablets and notebooks have largely been delivered to the schools, as Minister of Education Alexander Lorz (CDU) announced in response to a small request from the AfD parliamentary group in Wiesbaden. The school authorities were able to access the funds for the procurement of the devices after an additional agreement to the digital pact for schools.

The minister emphasized that the Digital Pact for Schools and the three additional agreements would make a significant contribution to improving the digital equipment in Hessian schools. The digital pact in Hesse was increased to around 500 million euros with state and school funding, and its three additional agreements with state funds were each increased to 50 million euros.
