Hesse: Asylum accommodation in Hattersheim is on fire

Hattersheim am Main (dpa/lhe) - A three-story asylum shelter burned on Thursday night in Hattersheim am Main (Main-Taunus district). The fire probably started in the kitchen on the top floor, the police said. The almost 40 residents could have left the accommodation independently and unharmed. One firefighter was suspected of smoke inhalation. The amount of property damage cannot be quantified at the moment, but is likely to be several hundred thousand euros. The extinguishing work continued early Thursday morning.
