Hünfeld (dpa/lhe) - A truck driver was slightly injured in an accident on the A7 between the Niederaula and Hünfeld/Schlitz junctions. The 62-year-old lost control of his vehicle early on Monday morning for reasons that have not yet been clarified and veered off the road to the right, the police said. There the truck broke through the crash barrier, overturned and came to rest on the grass verge. Police officers and first responders freed the driver from the cab. He escaped with minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The rescue measures continued on Monday morning, it was said. According to Hessischer Rundfunk, the right lane from Kassel towards Fulda was closed between the Grossenmoor service area and Hünfeld/Schlitz due to the salvage work.
