Hesse: bomb is defused: more than 2000 people in Wiesbaden are affected

Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - A bomb from the Second World War was found during construction work in Wiesbaden. The defusing of the 125-kilo dud is still planned for Wednesday evening, the city said. This requires an evacuation within a radius of 750 meters around the site in the Biebrich district. According to the city, more than 2,000 people who have to leave the area are affected. It was initially unclear how long the measure and the defusing in the evening should last. The city will inform citizens as soon as further details are known, it said.
