Mengerskirchen (dpa / lhe) - In a traffic accident in the Limburg-Weilburg district, a woman crashed her car into a lake pond and was rescued by a witness. The woman came off the road with her car on Saturday night in a sharp bend near Mengerskirchen, the police said. The car first hit a guardrail and then spun across both lanes. There the car broke through a boundary railing and fell into the pond. A witness saved the woman from the sinking car. She was unharmed. The vehicle had to be lifted out of the pond with a crane on Saturday morning.
