Hesse: car drives on tractor: two seriously injured

Eichenzell (dpa/lhe) - Two people were seriously injured in a rear-end collision between a car and a tractor near Eichenzell (Fulda district). For previously unknown reasons, a 27-year-old driver drove into the tractor on Tuesday evening, the police said on Wednesday. The vehicles left the roadway and ended up in a side ditch. While the 27-year-old was able to get out of the car, the 70-year-old tractor driver was trapped. Both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The police estimate the total damage at 14,000 euros.
