Hesse: car rolls over on A66: three drivers injured

Wiesbaden/Hofheim am Taunus (dpa/lhe) - Three drivers were injured in an accident on Autobahn 66 between Wiesbaden and Hofheim am Taunus in southern Hesse. The accident was probably caused by a lane change on Monday evening, the police said on Tuesday. There was a rear-end collision between two cars, in which one of the vehicles rolled over and came to rest on the roof. A third car was therefore caught at the rear and crashed into the outer crash barrier.

Two 41-year-olds and a 35-year-old driver were injured. Nothing was initially known about the severity of the injuries. It is still being determined who caused the accident.

The A66 towards Frankfurt was completely blocked for one and a half hours. The police estimate the damage at 62,000 euros.
