Bensheim (dpa / lhe) - In a forest in Bensheim (Bergstraße district) a caravan burned out on Tuesday night. The 61-year-old resident was not on site at the time, the police said on Tuesday. The caravan was completely destroyed. The police estimate the damage at several thousand euros. The fire also damaged undergrowth on an area of half a hectare around the caravan, it said.
The cause of fire was unclear for the moment. The police are investigating and looking for witnesses.
