Hesse: Child and adolescent psychiatry: 15 percent more beds

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The number of full-time inpatient places in the Hessian child and adolescent psychiatry has grown by 15 percent within eight years to 2020. While there were 484 beds in 2012, two years ago there were 557 places. This emerges from a response from the Ministry of Social Affairs in Wiesbaden to a request from the AfD parliamentary group. In the same period, the number of day-patient places increased by a good 30 percent to 340. The totals also include places in child and adolescent psychotherapy.

According to the ministry, there are also psychotherapeutic services for children and young people in the field of psychosomatic medicine in four clinics in Hesse.
