Hesse: damage of half a million euros after a house fire

Mühlheim (dpa/lhe) - The fire in a residential building in Mühlheim in the Offenbach district caused property damage estimated at around 500,000 euros. The building was completely destroyed in the fire on Friday, the police in Offenbach said. The residents could have saved themselves from the house, nobody was injured. The fire brigade was ultimately unable to prevent the flames from spreading to the entire roof structure. The cause of the fire was not initially known, but the police are now investigating. It is to be expected that the house can only be entered in the coming days.
