Hesse: Digitization of administration should help citizens

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Hessen wants to advance the digitization of administrative services and make it easier for citizens and companies. Among other things, the amendment to the Hessian e-government law is intended to expand communication with state authorities and municipalities through user accounts, Digital Minister Kristina Sinemus (CDU) announced on Tuesday in the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden. The reason for the amendment is the Online Access Act. According to this, administrative services at federal, state and municipal level should be available online by the end of 2022.

Hessen is also striving for a legally anchored digital check, announced Sinemus. Laws, legal ordinances and funding guidelines are to be examined for their digitization potential as soon as they are created or revised.
