At that moment, a 21-year-old turned her car from the opposite direction and hit the 44-year-old, the police said. The traffic light for the driver was also green at the time, but she probably ignored a yellow flashing light for pedestrians, it said.
In the evening, the public prosecutor's office brought in an expert to reconstruct what happened in the accident. The intersection was closed for several hours, a spokesman said.
