Cölbe (dpa/lhe) - Eight firefighters were injured while extinguishing a forest fire near Cölbe (Marburg-Biedenkopf district). They suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to the hospital, as the district spokesman, Stephan Schienbein, announced on Monday morning. On Tuesday, a 25,000 square meter piece of forest caught fire. The fire is now under control. "But there are still an infinite number of embers in the forest floor," said Schienbein. On Wednesday night, 400 emergency services were on site. Around 150 firefighters extinguished the embers in the early morning.
