Eppstein (dpa/lhe) - The fire brigade found a dead person in a forest fire near Eppstein in the Main-Taunus district on Thursday afternoon. This was on a forest path next to a burned-out car, said a police spokesman in Wiesbaden. It is currently still unclear who the deceased is, the police said in the evening.
Service dogs, as well as forensic specialists and experts from the Hessian State Criminal Police Office were deployed at the scene of the fire. So far there has been no evidence of a crime. The police assume that the vehicle fire caused the forest fire. The police were initially unable to provide any further information.
