Hesse: Fire in an apartment building: 350,000 euros in damage

Bad Homburg (dpa/lhe) - In Bad Homburg, an apartment on the first floor of an apartment building caught fire on Thursday night. According to the police, the fire brigade estimated the damage at around 350,000 euros. 13 people were evacuated from the fire house. According to the police, one person was brought to safety via a turntable ladder.

Since the flames could not spread to an adjacent residential building, a total of nine people were evacuated there. But there was no overlap. One person sustained a laceration.

Since the residents could not return to the house immediately after the end of the extinguishing work, the Red Cross provided emergency accommodation. The cause of the fire initially remained unclear.
