Cologne (dpa/lhe) - SV Wehen Wiesbaden has suffered its first defeat of the season in the 3rd football league. The Hessians lost 0-1 (0-0) to Viktoria Köln on Saturday. Defender Sebastian Mrowca was shown a yellow-red card in the 70th minute for repeated foul play. Shortly thereafter, Patrick Koronkiewicz (77th) scored the winning goal for Cologne.
In the first half, SVWW, who had to settle for a point in the 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund II at the start of the season, had more of the game and better chances. However, newcomers John Iredale (13th/28th) and Benedict Hollerbach (23rd) forgave. This took revenge after the change, when Koronkiewicz overcame guest goalkeeper Florian Stritzel from about ten meters.
