Dreieich (dpa/lhe) - Four firefighters were slightly injured in the fire in a barn in the Sprendlingen district of Dreieich. The fire was reported early Saturday evening in the extension of a residential building in the Offenbach district, the police said on Sunday. The extension belonged to a painting company. Lacquer and paint were stored in it, which also burned. The home was only slightly damaged on the outside.
The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire in the barn, with four firefighters suffering minor injuries. However, they remained operational on Saturday night. The property damage was estimated at 100,000 euros. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment. The police have started the investigation and, according to a spokesman, will continue to inspect the scene of the fire on Monday at the earliest.
