Fränkisch-Crumbach (dpa/lhe) - Hammer thrower Samantha Borutta from Eintracht Frankfurt has exceeded the norm for the European Championships from August 15th to 21st in Munich. The 21-year-old track and field athlete won the meeting in Fränkisch-Crumbach on Sunday with 72.14 meters and thus stayed well above the required EM guideline value of 71.80 meters.

In order to be able to start at the World Championships from July 15th to 24th in Eugene (USA), Borutta has to throw at least 72.50 meters. Already on Friday she won the 1st Ilse Bechthold Memorial Cup in Frankfurt/Main with 71.02 meters.
