Former mayor and treasurer Uwe Becker is to run for the CDU. On November 19, the Frankfurt Greens want to discuss the question of who to put up as a candidate.

Feldmann has had to answer to a corruption trial before the Frankfurt district court since October. It is about his close ties to Arbeiterwohlfahrt (Awo). Feldman denies the allegations. In addition, the 64-year-old gambled away sympathy through various slip-ups, for example when he accepted the trophy at Eintracht's European Cup celebrations. Since the summer at the latest, almost all parties have called for his resignation, even his own party, the SPD.
