Bebra (dpa / lhe) - At Bebra station, eight wagons of a freight train leaked heavy oil. No one was injured in the incident on Saturday morning, police said. Only the smallest amounts escaped from the respective valves. Apart from the affected track section, the rest of the train traffic is not affected.

According to the information, the train commutes between Hamburg and Austria with a stop in Bebra and was emptied in Hamburg on Thursday. It was not yet possible to say why the heavy oil leaked out. According to the police, the fire brigade suspects heavy rain, which mixed with the oil residues in the wagons, to be the cause. The fire brigade is currently busy cleaning the valves, among other things.
